Ingredients/Components
- salt - 2 tsp
- water
- vegetable oil - 3 oz
- all-purpose flour - 3/4 c
- diced celery - 3/4 c
- seasoned salt - 2 tsp
- pinch of white pepper - 1 item
- diced carrots - 3/4 c
- bay leaves - 2 item
- diced potatoes - 3/4 c
- diced onions - 3/4 c
- lentils - 1 c
- beef base - 1/4 c
- pinch of nutmeg - 1 item
- diced bacon - 3 oz
- white thyme - 1 tsp
How to make lentil soup:
In a large saucepan, saute the bacon, carrots, onions and celery in oil until the onion and celery are transparent. Add flour; stir constantly. Slowly add water. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer approximately 3 hours.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Soups & stews, Pork.
