Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- brown sugar - 1 c
- evaporated milk - 1/4 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- boiling water
- plain flour
- oleo - 1/2 c
- quick oats - 1 c
- nuts, finely chopped - 1 c
- stick oleo - 1 item
- can coconut - 1 item
- Cream together oleo, brown sugar, sugar, eggs, salt and cinnamon; add oatmeal mixture and blend well
How to make oatmeal cake:
Mix oats and boiling water together; set aside to cool. Cream together oleo, brown sugar, sugar, eggs, salt and cinnamon; add oatmeal mixture and blend well. Add flour and soda. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes.Topping:2/3 c. brown sugar1 can coconut1/4 c. evaporated milk1 stick oleo1 c. nuts, finely chopped1 tsp. vanilla Mix well and spread on cake as soon as the cake is done.
