Baked caramel corn
Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- firmly packed brown sugar - 2 c
- popped corn - 6 qt
- white corn syrup - 1/2 c
- 2 sticks margarine - 1 c
How to make baked caramel corn:
Melt butter; stir in brown sugar, corn syrup and salt. Bring to boil, stirring constantly, then boil without stirring 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in baking soda and vanilla. Gradually pour over popcorn and mix well. Put in shallow baking dish or roaster; bake at 250° for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
