Italian spaghetti sauce
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 1 c
- cloves garlic, minced - 2 item
- parsley flakes - 1/4 c
- bay leaf - 1 item
- ground beef - 1 lb
- olive oil - 2 Tbsp
- tomato sauce - 2 c
- m - 1/2 tsp
- thyme - 1/4 tsp
- tomatoes - 4 c
- oregano or sage
- onion, slices - 1/2 c
- canned mushrooms 2/3 c - 3 oz
How to make italian spaghetti sauce:
Brown beef in olive oil in large skillet and drain. Add onion slices, garlic, tomatoes, tomato sauce, oregano or sage, mushrooms, parsley flakes, salt, m.s.g., thyme and bay leaf. Add water while cooking and cook the sauce for up to 2 hours. May be cooked in slow cooker without the water, unless needed.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Sauces, Main dish.
