Italian meat sauce
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 1 c
- bay leaf - 1 item
- ground beef - 1 lb
- oregano
- cans tomato sauce - 2 oz
- cloves garlic - 2 item
- parsley - 1/4 c
- olive oil - 2 Tbsp
- can mushrooms - 1 oz
- onion - 1/2 c
- cans tomatoes - 2 lb
- thyme - 1/4 tsp
- monosodium glutamate - 1/2 tsp
- cheese as needed - 1 item
How to make italian meat sauce:
In a large skillet, cook onion in hot oil until almost tender. Add meat and garlic; brown lightly. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer, uncovered, 2 to 2 1/2 hours or until sauce is nice and thick. Stir occasionally. Remove bay leaf.One pound of spaghetti will serve 4 to 6 as a main dish with sauce and meat balls.
