Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- margarine - 1/2 c
- Crisco - 1/2 c
- eggs, separated - 5 item
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- sifted flour - 2 c
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- coconut - 2 c
- cream cheese, softened
How to make italian cream cake:
Icing:4 oz. cream cheese, softened1/4 c. margarine1/2 tsp. vanilla Cream sugar, margarine and Crisco. Add egg yolks, one at a time and beat. Add vanilla. Mix baking soda with the buttermilk and add along with dry ingredients. Beat well. Beat egg whites until stiff and fold in. Bake in a greased tube pan at 350° for 1 hour.Icing: Combine cream cheese, margarine and vanilla. Beat until fluffy.
