Ingredients/Components

  • margarine - 1/2 c
  • pkg - 1 oz
  • sugar
  • vanilla
  • eggs - 4 item
  • flour
  • baking powder
  • candied red cherries, cut in 1/2 - 1/2 c
  • candied green cherries, cut in 1/2 - 1/2 c
  • red pineapple - 1/2 c
  • green or yellow pineapple - 1/2 c
  • chopped walnuts - 1 c

How to make white fruit cake:

Cream together margarine, sugar and cream cheese. Add vanilla and eggs; blend with electric beater. Add flour and baking powder; continue mixing.

Now use a wooden spoon and mix in the candied fruit until well blended. Grease 2 bread loaf pans, 5 x 9-inch. Divide mixture in 2 pans. Bake at 350° for 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean.
