Ingredients/Components

  • milk - 1 qt
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 2 Tbsp
  • parsley - 2 Tbsp
  • small onion, chopped - 1 item
  • chicken bouillon cube - 1 item
  • seasoned salt - 1/2 tsp
  • potatoes, cooked, peeled and diced - 6 item
  • butter or 6 slices bacon, chopped - 3 Tbsp
  • large carrot, cut up - 1 item

How to make hearty potato soup:

Melt butter or cook bacon and saute carrot and onion until tender. Stir in 2 tablespoons flour and blend until it bubbles, then add milk and bouillon. Cook until slightly thickened and add 3 of the potatoes, cooked, peeled and diced. Mash the other 3 which have been mashed. Season with parsley, salt and seasoned salt.
