Ingredients/Components

  • milk - 2 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 3 tsp
  • butter - 2 tsp
  • water - 1 c
  • light cream - 1 c
  • pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • parsley - 1 tsp
  • seasoned salt - 1 tsp
  • onion - 1/2 c
  • slices bacon - 2 item
  • carrots, sliced thin - 1 c
  • cans clams - 2 oz
  • cubed and cooked potatoes - 1 c

How to make clam chowder:

Cook bacon in butter until crisp. Add onion and carrots; remove bacon. Cook onion and carrots until tender. Add salts, pepper and water; cover and cook 10 to 15 minutes. Combine milk, cream and flour; cook until thick. Add potatoes, bacon, parsley and clams with juice.
