• garlic powder - 1/4 tsp
  • ground beef
  • green onions - 1/2 c
  • cumin - 1/2 tsp
  • can refried beans - 1 oz
  • can green chilies - 1 item
  • Monterey Jack cheese - 4 oz
  • large tomatoes, peeled and diced - 2 item
  • cans green chilies mild - 2 item
  • Colby Cheddar cheese - 12 oz
  • sausage chorizo - 3/4 lb

How to make flautas:

Mix together refried beans, Monterey Jack cheese, cumin and garlic powder. Put in double boiler or microwave oven until spreading consistency.

Dip tortilla in very hot water, then blot. Cook meat and 2 cans chilies until done, but not brown. Spread bean mixture on flour tortilla, then meat mixture. Roll. Put seam side down in baking pan. Cover with grated Colby Cheddar cheese. Then, put green onions, tomatoes and 1 can green chilies on top.

Put in oven and bake at 350° for 20 to 30 minutes. Serve on bed of lettuce. A blob of sour cream can be added, if desired.
