Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/3 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
- vinegar - 1/4 c
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- can diced or small whole beets - 1 item
- beet liquid plus water - 1 c
How to make harvard beets:
Combine sugar, cornstarch, salt and pepper in a 1-quart casserole. Stir in vinegar and beet liquid. Add beets. Cover. Microwave on High 4 to 5 minutes until slightly thickened. Let stand 3 minutes before serving.Recipe categories: American, Side dish, Vegetables.
