Hot five bean salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2/3 c
- salt
- cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
- water - 1/2 c
- vinegar - 3/4 c
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- slices bacon - 8 item
- can each 2 c - 1 lb
How to make hot five bean salad:
In large skillet, cook bacon until crisp. Drain, reserving 1/4 cup drippings. Salt and pepper; blend into drippings. Stir in vinegar and water; cook and stir until boiling. Stir in all beans. Cover and simmer 15 to 20 minutes. Turn into serving dish. Crumble bacon on top. Serves 10 to 12.Recipe categories: Appetizers, Dips, Side dish.
