Sweet pickle relish



  • sugar - 3 c
  • water - 6 c
  • chopped celery
  • celery seed - 2 Tbsp
  • white vinegar - 3 c
  • mustard seed - 2 tsp
  • pickling salt - 3/4 c
  • finely chopped green peppers - 2 item
  • ground onion - 3 c
  • ground cucumbers do not peel - 5 c
  • finely chopped red peppers - 2 item

How to make sweet pickle relish:

Soak the cucumbers in the water and pickling salt overnight. Drain well; combine with the onion, red and green peppers and celery. Heat the remaining ingredients; boil hard for 3 minutes. Add the rest; simmer for 10 minutes. Put in hot jars to seal. Let set for at least 1 week.
