Giant chocolate chip cookies
Ingredients/Components
- butter, softened - 1/2 c
- firmly packed light brown sugar - 1 c
- shortening - 1/2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- sugar - 3/4 c
- all-purpose flour - 2 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- semi-sweet chocolate chips
How to make giant chocolate chip cookies:
Preheat oven to 325°. Grease 2 large cookie sheets. In large bowl cream butter, shortening and sugars until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well. Add flour, soda and salt; mix just until combined. Stir in chocolate chips. Using a #20 ice cream scoop or 1/4 cup measure, drop scoops of batter 3 inches apart onto cookie sheets. With floured hand flatten each scoop into 4-inch rounds. Bake 12 to 15 minutes. Remove while centers are slightly soft. Cool cookies on baking sheet 5 minutes, transfer to wire racks to cool.
