German potato salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- flour
- vinegar - 1/2 c
- salt to taste - 1 item
- small onion, finely chopped - 1 item
- strips bacon, fried crisp - 2 item
- small potatoes - 2 lb
How to make german potato salad:
Steam potatoes and slice thin while hot. Crumble bacon; set aside. Cook onion in bacon fat. Stir in vinegar. Mix flour, sugar and salt and add to vinegar mixture. Cook until dressing thickens a little.The secret of good potato salad is to add dressing while potatoes are still warm.
