Cheese spread



  • sugar - 1 Tbsp
  • flour - 1 Tbsp
  • vinegar - 1 Tbsp
  • egg, beaten - 1 item
  • small onion, finely chopped - 1 item
  • pimento optional - 1 item
  • canned evaporated milk - 1 c
  • Velveeta cheese food, cubed - 1 lb
  • eggs, hard-cooked and chopped fine - 2 item

How to make cheese spread:

In double boiler, combine evaporated milk, beaten egg, flour and sugar. Cook, stirring until hot. Add cheese and cook stirring occasionally, until smooth. Stir in hard-cooked eggs, onion and pimento, if desired. Remove from heat and cool completely. Stir in vinegar and transfer to jars. Store covered in refrigerator.
