German potato salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- salt - 1 Tbsp
- flour
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- water - 3/4 c
- vinegar - 1/4 c
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- small onion - 1 item
- small potatoes - 18 item
- slices bacon, cut in cubes - 3 item
How to make german potato salad:
Cook potatoes until soft. Peel and slice. Add sliced onion (optional). Fry bacon until crispy. Remove from pan. To the bacon fat, add the butter and flour. Stir and add vinegar, water, sugar, salt and pepper. Let come to a boil and pour over potatoes. Sprinkle bacon cubes on top of salad. Serves 4 to 6.Recipe categories: Salads, Side dish, Potato.
