Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- water
- vinegar - 2/3 c
- pepper to taste - 1 item
- small onion, chopped - 1 item
- salt to taste - 1 item
- slices bacon, fried crisp and crumbled - 5 item
- potatoes, cooked and sliced - 6 c
How to make german potato salad:
Saute onion in 3 tablespoons of bacon drippings. Blend in flour and stir in vinegar and water. Cook until slightly thickened. Add sugar, salt and pepper. Simmer 10 minutes. Pour over sliced, cooked potatoes. Let flavors blend for 6 to 8 hours in reRecipe categories: Salads, Side dish, Potato.
