Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- flour - 2 c
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 1 c
- rolled oats - 1 c
- cloves - 1/2 tsp
- allspice - 1/2 tsp
- persimmon pulp - 1 c
- white raisins - 1 c
- soda, dissolved in persimmon pulp - 1 tsp
How to make persimmon cookies:
Sift together the salt, flour, nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice and cloves. Add rolled oats, raisins and nuts. Combine all ingredients and drop 1/2 teaspoon for each cookie on cookie sheet, ungreased.
