Ingredients/Components
- salt - 2 tsp
- flour - 1/4 c
- water - 1/4 c
- paprika - 1 tsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- celery salt - 1/2 tsp
- small onion, sliced - 1 item
- frying chicken, cut up - 4 lb
- shortening or 3 to 4 Tbsp - 1/3 c
How to make fried chicken:
Combine flour and seasonings. Shake chicken in seasonings; fry in medium heat. Brown well. Transfer to a Dutch oven. Add water and onion. Bake at 300° for 1 hour.Recipe categories: Chicken, Poultry, Whole chicken.
