Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- salt - 1 tsp
- vinegar - 2 Tbsp
- chopped onion - 1/4 c
- chopped cabbage - 5 c
- cayenne pepper - 1/2 tsp
- bacon drippings - 3 Tbsp
How to make fried cabbage:
Heat bacon drippings in deep pan (I use iron skillet). Add cabbage, onion and salt. Cover and cook slowly for about 20 minutes, stirring often. Add sugar and cayenne pepper to vinegar and mix well. Pour over cabbage and cook for 5 minutes longer.Recipe categories: Side dish, Vegetables, Low Carb.
