French fried onion rings
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 tsp
- sweet Spanish onions - 3 item
- Separate into rings
How to make french fried onion rings:
Remove skins and slice onions 1/2 inch thick. Separate into rings. Sift together flour, salt, pepper and sugar. Beat eggs until thick. Blend in milk and Worcestershire sauce. Add liquid to dry ingredients and stir just until smooth. Dip onion rings in batter. Fry a few at a time in deep fat heated to 375°. Drain thoroughly on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt.
