- salt - 1/2 tsp
- butter - 3 Tbsp
- all-purpose flour - 4 Tbsp
- hot milk
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- dash of cayenne pepper - 1 item
- grated sharp cheese - 1 c
- jar diced pimiento - 1 oz
- dash of dry mustard - 1 item
- sliced, blanched almonds
- asparagus liquid - 1/2 c
- cooked or canned asparagus
How to make asparagus supreme:
In saucepan, blend butter and flour; gradually add milk and seasonings. Cook until thickened, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in cheese. Place asparagus and liquid in a greased (13 x 9 x 2-inch) casserole dish. Cover with cream sauRecipe categories: Side dish, Vegetables, Asparagus.
