English pea casserole
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1/4 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- butter - 2 3
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- can cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
- onion, chopped - 1/3 c
- celery, diced - 1/3 c
- green pepper, diced - 1/3 c
- can water chestnuts, drained - 1 oz
- bag frozen peas - 1 (20
- soda crackers - 1 item
- small jar chopped pimentos - 1 item
How to make english pea casserole:
Saute celery, onion and green pepper in butter. Dilute soup with milk and add to vegetable mixture. Combine all ingredients, except cracker crumbs. Pour into 1 1/2-quart buttered casserole.
