Broccoli casserole
Ingredients/Components
- melted butter - 1/4 c
- beaten egg - 1 item
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- mayonnaise - 1/2 c
- grated sharp cheese - 1/2 c
- cornflakes - 1/2 c
- can cream of mushroom soup or celery soup - 1/2 item
- box frozen broccoli, preferably in pieces - 1 item
How to make broccoli casserole:
Boil broccoli for 5 minutes; drain. Mix with soup, egg, cheese and mayonnaise. Season to taste. Put in an 8-inch square Pyrex dish. Combine melted butter and cornflakes; sprinkle over broccoli mixture. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Serves 6. Can be multiplied successfully.Recipe categories: Side dish, Casseroles, Broccoli.
