Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 2 tsp
  • flour - 1/4 c
  • water - 1 c
  • paprika - 1/2 tsp
  • pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • chopped celery - 1 c
  • can tomato sauce - 28 oz
  • small onions - 4 item
  • Wesson oil - 2 Tbsp
  • boneless beef or round, 1-inch cubes - 2 lb
  • small carrots, cut 1-inch - 4 item
  • small potatoes, cut 1-inch - 4 item

How to make easy oven stew:

Combine flour, salt, pepper and paprika in a paper bag. Drop portion of beef into bag. Shake until coated. Place in 8-quart casserole dish with oil. Bake at 400° for 30 minutes; stir well.

Add vegetables, water and tomato sauce. Mix well. Cover and bake at 350° for 1 3/4 hours or until tender. Makes 6 servings.
