  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • butter, melted - 6 Tbsp
  • egg, beaten - 1 item
  • dash of pepper - 1 item
  • Italian seasoning
  • tomato puree - 1/2 c
  • grated Romano cheese - 1/3 c
  • broiler-fryer chicken, cut up - 1 item
  • coarsely crushed onion and garlic seasoned croutons - 1 c

How to make crispy italian chicken:

Heat oven to 400°. Combine crushed croutons, cheese and seasonings; mix well. Combine tomato puree and egg. Dip cut up chicken in tomato mixture, then coat with crouton mixture. Place chicken in buttered 13 x 9-inch baking pan; drizzle with melted butter. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes, or until chicken is tender. Serve hot or cold.
