Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- oil - 1/2 c
- boiling water - 1 c
- sifted flour - 1 c
- eggs at room temperature - 4 item
- whipping cream follow directions on pkg - 1 pt
How to make cream puffs:
Preheat oven to 400°. Bring water to boiling in 2-quart saucepan. Reduce heat to low. Add oil, salt and flour all at once. Cook, stirring vigorously until mixture leaves sides of pan and forms a compact ball. Do not over cooked.Remove from heat. Cool mixture slightly. Add eggs, one at a time. Beat hard with each until mixture is smooth and glossy. Drop by spoonfuls onto slightly oiled cookie sheets, 2-inches apart. Bake for 15 minutes at 400°, then lower heat to 350° for 20 minutes more. Cool. Cut open and fill with whipped cream.
