Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- water - 1 c
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- cocoa - 4 Tbsp
- buttermilk - 1/3 c
- box powdered sugar - 1 lb
- eggs, beaten slightly - 2 item
- cubes butter - 2 item
- Frosting:1 cube butter
- add walnuts - 1 item
How to make buttermilk cake:
Frosting:1 cube butter4 Tbsp. buttermilk4 Tbsp. cocoa1 tsp. vanilla1 (1 lb.) box powdered sugar add walnuts Mix together dry ingredients, flour, sugar and soda; set aside. In saucepan, heat water, cocoa, buttermilk and butter. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add dry ingredients. Add eggs and vanilla. Grease and flour a jelly roll pan (15 x 10 x 1/2-inch). Pour batter into pan and bake at 350` for 15 minutes.Put Frosting ingredients in saucepan, except powdered sugar and nuts; bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add powdered sugar and nuts. Frost cake while still hot.
