Breakfast apples



Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2/3 c
- water - 1/2 c
- stick cinnamon - 1 item
- medium cooking apples - 6 item
- or 3 whole cloves - 2 item
- lemon, cut with peel on - 1/2 item
How to make breakfast apples:
Combine all ingredients except apples; bring to a boil. Pare apples, core, cut in eights and add to syrup. Cook slowly until done, 5 to 8 minutes. Remove from heat and cool in syrup. Remove spices and lemon. Serves 4.Recipe categories: Desserts, Fruit, Breakfast.
