Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 1/4 c
  • water - 2 c
  • pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • finely chopped onion - 1 c
  • dried parsley flakes - 2 tsp
  • chicken bouillon cubes - 2 item
  • cubed cheddar cheese - 3/4 lb
  • peeled cubed potatoes - 6 c
  • milk divided - 3 c
  • shredded carrots- amount desired - 1 item

How to make cream of potato soup:

Combine first nine ingredients in large pot. Bring to a boil. Cover and reduce heat, simmer 15 - 20 minutes. Gradually stir 1/4 c. milk into flour to make a smooth paste. Stir paste into soup and add remaining milk and cheese. Cook over medium heat until thickened.
