Country style chicken
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- melted butter - 1/2 c
- garlic salt - 1/2 tsp
- Parmesan cheese - 2 Tbsp
- bread crumbs - 1/2 c
- oregano - 1 tsp
- basil - 1 tsp
- parsley, chopped - 1/4 c
- green onion, sliced - 1/4 c
- chicken breasts - 4 item
- sweet butter - 2/3 c
- dry white wine or apple juice - 1/4 c
How to make country style chicken:
Heat oven to 375°. In a heavy 2-quart pan, melt 2/3 cup butter. Meanwhile, on a piece of waxed paper, combine crumbs, cheese, basil, oregano, garlic salt and salt. Dip chicken in butter; roll in crumbs. Place chicken, skin side up, in ungreased 9-inch square baking dish. Bake in a 375° oven for 50 to 60 minutes or until golden brown and chicken is tender.Melt 1/2 cup butter in pan. Add wine, onion and parsley to melted butter. When chicken is ready, pour melted butter mixture around and over, and return to oven for 3 to 5 minutes or just until sauce is hot. Serves 4.
