Country style barbecued ribs
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- brown sugar - 1/4 c
- water - 1/2 c
- cooking oil - 1/4 c
- lemon juice - 1/4 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- Worcestershire sauce - 2 Tbsp
- chopped onions - 1 c
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- prepared mustard - 2 Tbsp
- celery seed - 1 tsp
- country style pork ribs - 4 lb
How to make country style barbecued ribs:
Place ribs in a large saucepan or Dutch oven. Cook ribs, covered in water, until ribs are tender, 45 to 60 minutes. Drain well. Set aside.In a saucepan, cook onions and garlic in hot oil until tender. Stir in all other ingredients. Cook, uncovered, 15 minutes. Brush on ribs and cook on a grill or in oven at 350°, uncovered, until brown, about 30 minutes to 1 hour.
Note: You may want to use your favorite barbecue sauce from the supermarket.
