Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 1 Tbsp
- water - 2 c
- oil - 1 Tbsp
- egg - 1 item
- chili powder - 1 Tbsp
- can whole kernel corn, drained - 1 item
- chopped green pepper - 1/2 c
- ground beef - 1 lb
- can tomato soup - 1 item
- black pepper - 1/2 tsp
- large onion - 1 item
- self-rising cornmeal
How to make cornbread pie:
Cornbread Mixture:3 c. self-rising cornmeal1 Tbsp. flour1 Tbsp. sugar1 egg1/2 c. milk1 Tbsp. oil Brown beef and onion in skillet. Add tomato soup, water, black pepper, salt, chili powder, green pepper and corn. Pour in an 8 x 10-inch casserole dish. Mix cornmeal mixture. Drop by spoonfuls over meat mixture.
