Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- water
- stick butter - 1/2 item
- dash of salt - 1 item
- flour - 1/2 c
- cocoa
- eggs, separated - 3 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
How to make chocolate pie:
Mix sugar, flour and cocoa together; add just enough water to make a paste. Beat in egg yolks well; heat remaining water and add butter and salt. Cook until thick; remove from heat and add vanilla. Cool and pour into a 9-inch baked pie crust. Cover with meringue and brown.Meringue: Beat egg whites on medium speed. Put 1 tablespoon of sugar for each white. Don't put sugar in all at once, a little at a time. Meringue will peek; put on top of pie and bake until brown.
