Ingredients/Components

vanilla - 2 tsp
salt - 1 tsp
brown sugar - 2 c
butter - 3 Tbsp
soda - 1 tsp
cocoa - 1/2 c
shortening - 1 c
all-purpose flour
nut meats - 1/2 c
well beaten eggs - 2 item
powdered sugar or more - 1/2 c
sweet or sour milk - 1 c
hot coffee or hot water - 3 Tbsp
Add eggs; blend

How to make chocolate drop cookies:

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs; blend. Sift dry ingredients together. Add dry mixture alternately with milk to creamed mixture. Blend well. Drop from teaspoon 2-inches apart on greased sheet pan. Bake at 350° for 10 to 15 minutes. Don't overbake.
