Chocolate pie

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 3/4 c
• vanilla - 1 tsp
• milk - 3/4 c
• flour
• eggs, separated - 3 item
• water - 3/4 c
• cocoa - 1/4 c
• pinch of salt - 1 item
• stick butter - 1/2 item
• cream of tartar - 1/4 tsp
• pie shell, baked - 1 item
• Cook until thickened

How to make chocolate pie:

Combine all ingredients except for egg whites and butter in saucepan. Cook until thickened. Mixture will be lumpy. Add butter and stir until smooth. Pour into baked pie shell. Cover with meringue and brown.Meringue:3 egg whites1/4 tsp. cream of tartar1/2 c. sugar
