Chili con carne
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- paprika - 1/2 tsp
- chili powder - 1 Tbsp
- bay leaf - 1 item
- clove garlic - 1 item
- ground beef - 1 lb
- fat - 3 Tbsp
- green pepper, chopped - 1 item
- large onion, chopped - 1 item
- cayenne pepper - 1/8 tsp
- can condensed tomato soup - 1 item
- 2 can tomatoes
- 2 can kidney beans
How to make chili con carne:
Melt fat in 2-quart saucepan. Brown onion, green pepper and beef in hot fat. Add tomatoes, soup, paprika, cayenne, bay leaf and chili powder. Simmer about 1 hour, adding water if mixture gets too thick.Mash garlic and salt together and stir into mixture. Sir in beans. Heat thoroughly. Serves 6.
