Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1 tsp
  • long grain rice - 2 c
  • can cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
  • can cream of celery soup - 1 item
  • parsley - 1 item
  • green onions - 1 item
  • can mushrooms - 1 item
  • cans water - 2 item
  • cube butter - 1 item
  • cut up chicken - 1 item
  • any spice you like - 1 item

How to make chicken and rice casserole:

Melt butter in a large pan. Dredge chicken through. Put rest of ingredients in a 9 x 13-inch casserole. Mix well. Place buttered chicken, skin side up, on rice mixture. Bake uncovered at 350° for 1 hour and 20 minutes.

This was always a favorite with my two sons. Serves 6 (or 4 if two are teen-age boys).
