Chicken and dumplings
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- stick margarine - 1 item
- boiling water - 2 c
- flour, sifted - 4 c
How to make chicken and dumplings:
Melt shortening in the boiling water. Add salt and flour. Mix and roll thin; cut into 1/2-inch squares. Freeze on cookie sheet, using wax paper between layers. Put into plastic bag; use as needed.To cook: Drop dumplings into boiling chicken stock. Cover; simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.
