Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- water
- self-rising flour - 2 c
- Crisco - 1/2 c
- can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- parsley - 1 item
- large fryer, cut up - 1 item
How to make chicken and dumplings:
Cut up fryer; cover with water and boil until tender. Remove chicken from bone. Retain juice. Put chicken, cream of chicken soup and seasonings in the juice. Make dumplings of self-rising flour, milk and Crisco. Roll on floured board. Cut in 1-inch squares. Boil in the chicken mix until tender.Recipe categories: Chicken, Main dish, Whole chicken.
