- flour - 3 c
- egg - 1 item
- stewing chicken, stewed until meat falls from bones; remove bones - 1 item
- water enough to make stiff dough - 1 item
How to make chicken and dumplings:
Have chicken broth boiling. Roll out dough, a little at a time as thin as possible. Cut into strips and drop into boiling broth. Repeat until all dough is used. Cook until dumplings are done. Add black pepper to taste.Recipe categories: Chicken, Main dish, Whole chicken.
