Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 3/4 c
- molasses - 1 c
- ginger - 2 tsp
- hot water - 1 c
- cloves - 1 tsp
How to make gingerbread:
Cream shortening and sugar. Add well-beaten egg, molasses and hot water. Add sifted dry ingredients. Pour into well-greased baking pan. Bake at 325° for 45 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, < 60 mins.
