Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • egg whites - 2 item
  • dry mustard - 1/2 tsp
  • paprika - 1/2 tsp
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 tsp
  • grated Cheddar cheese - 1/2 c
  • grated Swiss cheese - 1/2 c
  • French bread baguette 3-inch in diameter - 1 item

How to make cheese puffs:

Mix cheeses, Worcestershire, paprika and mustard. Beat egg whites with salt until stiff. Fold into cheese mixture. Toast one side of bread slices lightly under a broiler. Flip the slices over and top the untoasted side with same egg and cheese mixture. Broil 3 to 6 minutes, until puffed and brown. Serve hot.
