Barbecue sauce
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- molasses - 1/4 c
- dry mustard - 1 tsp
- paprika - 1/4 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 Tbsp
- chili powder - 1 item
- catsup - 3/4 c
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- black pepper - 1/4 tsp
- tarragon vinegar - 2 Tbsp
- garlic clove, crushed - 1 item
- salad oil or butter - 1/4 c
How to make barbecue sauce:
Combine salad oil, molasses, garlic, paprika, vinegar, catsup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt and black pepper in a saucepan. Simmer 20 minutes over low heat, stirring occasionally. Coats about 5 pounds chicken. Rub chicken with salt, pepper and chili powder before barbecuing. Sauce is good on ribs too!Recipe categories: Condiments, etc., Southern u.s., Cajun.
