Cheddar chowder
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 2 c
- salt
- flour - 1/4 c
- boiling water - 2 c
- margarine - 1/4 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/4 c
- chicken bouillon cubes - 2 item
- sliced carrots - 1/2 c
- sliced celery - 1/2 c
- diced potatoes - 2 c
- shredded cheese - 2 c
- chopped celery leaves - 2 Tbsp
- either seafood, ham or cooked bacon - 1 2
How to make cheddar chowder:
Simmer vegetables in water and bouillon cubes for 10 minutes. Do not drain. Make a white sauce with the flour, milk, salt and pepper. Add to vegetables. Then add cheese and stir until melted. Stir in the desired meat.Recipe categories: Soups & stews, Chowders, Super bowl.
