Cheddar chowder
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 2 c
- salt
- flour - 1/4 c
- boiling water - 2 c
- margarine - 1/4 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/4 c
- cheese - 2 c
- chopped potatoes - 2 c
- carrots, chopped - 1/2 c
- celery slices - 1/2 c
- ham cubes - 1 c
How to make cheddar chowder:
Combine water, vegetables, seasonings and ham. Cover and simmer 10 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Make a white sauce of margarine, milk and flour. Add cheese and stir until melted. Stir into vegetables and ham mixture and heat until almost bubbly. Makes 3 quarts. Enjoy.Recipe categories: Soups & stews, Chowders, Super bowl.
