Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- water
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- soda - 2 Tbsp
- grated carrots - 2 c
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- raisins - 1 c
- cloves - 1 tsp
- walnut meats - 1 c
- cooking oil or butter - 2 Tbsp
How to make carrot cake:
Mix and boil first eight ingredients. Boil slowly for 5 minutes. Add flour, soda, salt and walnuts. Bake in slow oven (300°) for at least 1 1/4 hours.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Carrots.
