  • flour
  • sugar - 2/3 c
  • baking powder - 2 tsp
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • shredded, peeled apple - 1 c
  • chopped walnuts - 3/4 c
  • butter, melted - 2 Tbsp
  • milk - 1/2 c
  • egg - 1 item
  • sour cream - 1/2 c
  • white sugar - 2 Tbsp
  • brown sugar - 2 Tbsp

How to make apple cream cake:

Sift together all the dry ingredients. Stir in the apple and 1/4 cup nuts. Combine butter, milk and egg. Stir into the flour mixture and blend only. Pour into greased and floured 9-inch round pan. Spread sour cream over top. Combine sugars and spread over the sour cream. Sprinkle on remaining nuts. Bake at 400° in preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes. Serve warm with butter or whipped cream. It is also good cold.
