Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- brown sugar - 1 c
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- margarine - 1/2 c
- light corn syrup - 1/4 c
- popcorn - 15 c
How to make caramel corn:
Cook brown sugar, margarine, corn syrup and salt over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until bubbly around edges. Continue cooking 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in baking soda until foamy. Pour over popcorn. Bake, uncovered, for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes, in a 200° oven.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Snacks, American.
